STEVEN WYERS, ATTORNEY AT LAW
Steven began his own practice in Tulsa in 2011 with the Wyers Law Firm, focusing primarily on family, criminal, and juvenile law. Over the next 10 years, he handled hundreds of cases and tried both jury and non-jury trials. He specializes in high-conflict custody cases and complex divorces, as well as adoptions, guardianships, protective orders, and modifications of existing domestic orders. Criminal cases have become less of a part of Steven’s practice. However, he still accepts juvenile cases and some misdemeanor and felony cases involving domestic violence and/or substance abuse, including DUIs. He is licensed to practice in Oklahoma, Texas, the Federal District of Northern Oklahoma, and the Creek and Cherokee Nations. He is a member of the Oklahoma, Texas, Wagoner, Creek, and Rogers County Bar associations.
In 2024, Steven joined Broken Arrow Law Group. He expanded his practice to include wills and trusts, personal injury, business/contract litigation, and defamation. He has secured numerous summary judgments in contract cases and substantial compensation for those injured through the negligence of others. By combining with B.A. Law Group, Steven has been able to increase the quality of representation and the areas of practice at Wyers Law by leveraging the collective experience and resources of his fellow practitioners to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
In an interesting twist, Steven found himself involved in a case with a local business in 2020 that led to his unexpectedly becoming skilled in federally regulated administrative cases involving the Department of Labor, including UIFSA, OSHA, FHA and Davis-Bacon Act cases. He currently takes cases from all over the country defending businesses who bid on projects financed by federal funds and who have been threatened with discipline or debarment. He also provides advisory and consultation services on compliance with federal regulations under the Department of Labor.
In 2025, Steven co-founded Oklahoma Dispute Resolution, LLC. The goal of ODR is to provide affordable and effective dispute resolution services in different areas. For the majority of cases, an agreed settlement, if one can be reached, is a superior solution that is both less stressful and expensive than litigation in the court system but it requires the parties to both want to settle. Steven provides mediation services based on his experience in domestic cases including divorce, paternity, protective orders, child support, modifications of custody and visitation, guardianships, and adoption cases. He also serves as guardian ad litem and parent coordinator in domestic cases.
Steven is married to Tina Wyers, office manager at B.A. Law Group. They have 4 children and live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Tina also runs a supervised visitation service for parents who have been court-ordered to have their visitation times temporarily supervised. When they are not working or hosting family functions you can often find them at the lake or on the golf course, usually accompanied by their dogs Walter, Indy and Libby.
